current obsession: @ewokgia

"honor myself in a way where I am more than my physical vessel, spirit over flesh."

extract from Gia's interview for The Hood Witch.

life is weird, at the moment. "weird" being a total matter of perspective, of course. things are changing. so, so fast that it's taking lots of energy (from me, at least) to process. deciding to detach from the blinding and limiting concepts of wealth, unnecessary pain, ego and guilt hasn't been "easy". somehow however I know that I am in the place and moment where I need to be.

it is thanks to angels that have been appearing in my life recently ("new" people that I am convinced have met with me in previous lives) and goddesses, like Ewok Gia, that when things get too foggy and a little too dark, my hope remains. never have I been more sure that I wanna dedicate the rest of my earthly life to helping (and giving) others. I want to be but a channel for God and the Universe to help. period. help doing what? anything. from building homes for indigenous communities in my native Peru, from giving a stranger a shoulder to cry on, from opening my home (if I ever decide to own one, which is a very contradictory concept for me at the moment lol), a lovely (and very gay) tarot reading, helping you get whatever it is that you are trying to manifest, donating as much as I can to those who need it, feeding, healing, listening, loving. I don't ever again want to have big amounts of money, properties or goods under my name, for that has been my curse for 26 years. abundance and prosperity are good. but money, greed... those are dangerous energies I never again want to be associated to.

I discovered Gia earlier today thanks to an interview she did with The Hood Witch, another one of my current obsessions. Her words (especially those quoted above) I will forever take with me. I too, Mami Yucca, am finally honoring where my spirit is. regardless of the material and physical conditions around me. thank you FOREVER for reminding me of that.

detach from that fat lie we've been fed and conditioned to that we need to accumulate material abundance,

we are finally transitioning out of the Pisces era of darkness, hidden knowledge, toxic patriarchy, organized religion, etc. etc. etc. and we are learning (at a super fast rate) that one of the main keys to... happiness (or whatever that is that I am looking for) is DETACHMENT. detach from that fat lie we've been fed and conditioned to that we need to accumulate material abundance, that we need to drown in debt to obtain a college degree, that we need to create (and maintain) toxic and selfish images of power and "wealth". the f*ck you need all that money for? it's gonna disappear all once the current economies collapse within the next 20 years. good luck asking the elite to give you back your "wealth". got a few extra hundreds in your bank account? I mean, I am not going to tell you how to spend your hopefully hard-earned money BUT I am sure you'll be more than fine if you used a few $$$ to buy some food, meds, clothes and/or blankets to those who need it.

as I write this, it's snowing and cold af outside. think of the people (usually people of color, by the way), the children, the animals that don't have a roof to spend the night under. or food. or a blanket to keep themselves warm. or meds to fight whatever it is they are fighting because of constant years of systematic negligence.

giving/helping is one of the most enriching human experiences

like that "awww it's snowing!" facetuned selfie from inside your apartment is cute and all, but if you can (which I am sure you can) PLEASE GO OUT AND GIVE. whatever (and as much) as you can to those in need. not in hopes to get anything back (although even if you are doing it just to brag about it - still, please, go out and GIVE). giving/helping is one of the most enriching human experiences: do yourself a favor and GO OUT AND HELP PEOPLE (and animals). we are all but one big family (even though sometimes I wanna slap lots of y'all in the face). would you let your little sister die from hypothermia? period.

you can check Gia's full interview here. check out two of her bad-ass projects here and here. and obviously find her on instagram as @ewokgia. yes. it's her in the photos. I f-ing know right? you're welcome.
